Meltdown Candles are committed to ensuring the privacy of our customers. Our website activities operate in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988. How we collect and store your personal information is set out below.

THE PERSONAL INFORMATION WE WILL COLLECT FROM YOU:

When purchasing a Meltdown candle, we want to ensure that we only collect information from you that we need to carry out your order. This will include identifiable details such as your name, address, email address, contact phone number and any relevant payment details required to fulfill your order. We will only ask you to supply us with any of the above information at the time it is actually required to help us carry out our service to you. We will never request or deal with any sensitive information.

WHAT WE WILL DO WITH YOUR INFORMATION:

We will use the information provided by you in order to fulfill your Meltdown Candles order.  We know you want to receive your purchase as quickly as possible, so we will use your payment information to deduct the payment owed at the time you place your order. We will also use your email address to keep you updated as to the status of your order.

We would love to add your email to our newsletter list, but we will only do so with your permission. 

WHAT WE WILL DO WITH THE INFORMATION COLLECTED FROM SOCIAL MEDIA:

We love staying in touch and seeing you through life's little meltdowns and so so via Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest. Any information provided by you through comments/messages through social media, will be handled in the same way as information provided through our website. Any photographs posted through Instagram or any other social media, which include or tag Meltdown Candles or any of our products, may be subject to being re-posted by meltdown Candles on our socials. The original author will always be credited. More information on this is set out in our Terms and Conditions.

HOW WE WILL STORE YOUR INFORMATION:

Any information given to us during the checkout process will be stored on our online store platform until we have completed your transaction and posted your candle out to you. We do not hold onto any of your details after this time unless you give us permission to store your email address for our newsletter list.  In this instance it will be stored securely and confidentially.

WHEN WE WILL SHARE YOUR INFORMATION:

Meltdown Candles will never share your personal or identifiable information with any third party for any reason.

WHEN YOU CAN ACCESS YOUR INFORMATION:

Users can request to access or change their information by contacting Meltdown Candles directly.

YOUR FEEDBACK:

We love receiving your feedback on our products and service. We want to be as open as possible with other customers, so when you provide us with feedback you agree to allow us to share it in our feedback section on our website. For more information on this please visit our Terms and Conditions.

WHEN WE WILL COLLECT NON- PERSONAL INFORMATION:

As a by-product of visiting Meltdown Candles, extra non-personal or identifiable information may be collected from you. This could include information about your browser type, access time and location or referring address. This information is strictly for our use in gauging website traffic.

CHANGES TO OUR PRIVACY POLICY:

Meltdown Candles reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time and without notice or consequence. This Privacy Policy is current as of March 2025.

 

Shipping and Returns

Orders of $150 and over come with free shipping, Australia-wide.

 

 

To ensure you receive tracking information for your order, please provide your email and contact number during the checkout process. Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a tracking number.  

When placing an order, please understand that our delivery partners typically deliver between business hours, as do all major Australian delivery services. Please provide an accessible address so a driver can leave your package in a safe place. If the address provided is a locked building, please ensure someone is available to accept the package or provide specific instructions.

Delivery days and times are out of our control. Once we ship your parcel, the delivery service will determine the day and time of delivery. We are not responsible for any changes to their schedule.

By default, all deliveries are ATL (Authority to leave). If you have special instructions, please let us know in your order notes. 

Please complete the delivery instructions section at checkout to note any possible instructions for the courier on your day of delivery. We do not recommend leaving our candles in direct heat or sunlight as the wax may melt. 

We constantly seek to improve our customer service, so your feedback is welcome. Please feel free to contact us and let us know your thoughts.

 

Delivery issues:

We do our best to help solve delivery issues where possible. If a courier attempts delivery and cannot, a card is usually left with instructions for re-delivery. It is up to you to organise redelivery/ change of address, etc. 

You can get help by visiting your tracking page sent during shipment. At the bottom of the page, there is an option to "Get delivery help." Follow the prompts to make the best choice for your situation. 

If you request a change of address after a delivery has been attempted, you may incur an additional shipping cost.

 

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

International shipping in not available. Meltdown Candles is currently shipping only with Australia 

 

RETURNS AND REFUNDS

Due to the nature of our products, we cannot accept returns, exchanges or refunds for used products. If your items were damaged during transit, please send us photo proof and an email to hello@waxhouse.com.au 

We will not provide a refund, accept a return or exchange a product due to a change of mind. 

You can cancel your order before it has been shipped. However, you must be quick, as we cannot cancel or provide a refund once we ship your order. 

If your delivery has been lost in transit, we will happily ship a replacement or refund the order if that is what you prefer; however, we must investigate with the shipping service before sending a replacement or providing a refund.
